Transforming Waste to Energy: Apeiron Energy Opens Flagship Facility in Scotland – Project Aldgate.

We will invest a total of £1.1bn in UK SAF projects. This will be over a 36-month period. Around 20% of the build value will be spent locally, and via targeted procurement initiatives.

Each SAF production facility will generate circa £400m per annum for the local economy. The plants will have a working life cycle of 40 years.

Each operational SAF plant will create c130 directly employed – both skilled and unskilled jobs. The UK skill base aligns with Chemical led processing – though this sector has seen a significant decline across the last 40 years. Our projects will look to reverse this decline. Of the 130 directly employed positions, the average salary will equate to £78K per annum. Over twice the national average, and within the top 5% of the UK.

“Project Aldgate represents a major milestone in our mission to drive the circular economy forward,” said Will Moss, CEO of Apeiron Energy.

“By turning MSW into a valuable energy resource, we’re tackling two of the UK’s biggest environmental challenges – waste management and clean energy supply.”
